Design – Bridgeport Indoor Pool
A fun indoor pool design based on the many winter nights we’ve spent swimming at the Bridgeport Resort in Sturgeon Bay.
About the design
We’ve mentioned before that we’re big fans for the Bridgeport Waterfront Resort in Sturgeon Bay. It was our home base for our Door County vacations for many years. We even designed our Cozy Fireplace project after their comfortable rooms and our fun traditions.
So, as we featured our tradition of milk and cookies by the fireplace in the winter, we just had to do another project as well. Swimming in their indoor pool on those cold, Door County winter nights.
When we’re up in Door County during our New Years trips, we have a lot of fun outdoors during the day. But has the night falls, so do the temps. Which means to help fight off some of that cabin fever, we head downstairs to the pool.
There are a lot of fun features to the indoor pool at the Bridgeport. While we thought about doing the cool, indoor lighthouse slide, we just didn’t have the room in our project size. So we went next best thing, which was the basketball hoop that we’re always trying to shoot at.
To help our Lego minifigures stay afloat, we added a few round plates for flotation devices. Much like some of our other completed projects, these designs really come to life when we build them and add in our minifigure family, too.
Project status: Completed
This project has now been completed, and you can find photos in our Bridgeport Indoor Pool project post. Check out how much fun our Lego family has enjoying their time in the pool.
