Design – Kick Coffee
A custom Lego design of our go-to morning coffee stop in Sturgeon Bay: Kick Coffee.
About this design
We’re not early risers when we’re on vacation in Door County. Even still, we like to enjoy our caffeine in the morning just like when we’re back home. And after many, many trips staying in Sturgeon Bay, Kick Coffee on 3rd Avenue quickly became our preferred spot.
While not as spacious a cafe as Blue Horse in Fish Creek, Kick Coffee is still a great spot. Papa loves the chai lattes and Mama is always getting one of her custom drinks made perfectly.
Now, onto the Lego aspects of this design. We had a lot of fun basing this design after photos of Kick Coffee. From the counter and the pastry case to the barista bar, sandwich area, and the menus boards, we had a lot of fun with this one from the very beginning.
Like our Gift Shop project and our more recent Funky Cookie Studio project, adding as many small details as we could was the goal. It was neat adding the colored tea boxes on top of the pastry case, and the cups and creamer containers on the left counter. Some small shelves on the back wall and a small table with chairs on the right finished of the design.
Project status: Completed
At long last, our Kick Coffee project is complete. You can view photos and read more in our Kick Coffee project post.
With this project completed, at least two of our Lego minifigure family members are going to be in better shape to enjoy the day.
