A clear, starry night in Door County is always the perfect way to end an already great day. This custom stargazing Lego project takes us back to the wonderful August nights under the stars at the Egg Harbor Marina for the annual Perseids meteor showers.
Family fun in our lavender field custom Lego project, primarily inspired by our visit to Fragrant Isle on the very beautiful Washington Island.
Enjoying cookies and milk by a cozy fireplace is one of our favorite Door County memories. This design was inspired by our many trips staying at The Bridgeport Resort in Sturgeon Bay.
Mamas get to go first, with her vacation within a vacation at the lavender spa as our first completed Lego project. As of 15 completed projects, the Lavender Spa is still the only one of our Lego builds that Mama gets to be all by herself.
While the website is starting to come together nicely now, the next major task we have in front of us is getting photos taken of all of our completed Door County projects to share. As of now, we have 15 of our 22 designed projects already completed.
The Gift Shop project is no doubt Christian’s current favorite to date, and for very good reason. This design is based on a Door County tradition that any young child would love: picking out a new toy at the Door County General Store in Carlsville.
From one of Papa’s favorite summertime traditions to his absolute favorite winter tradition: skating with Christian at one of Door County’s outdoor ice rinks. For the past few years, our family has been joining Mama’s family’s tradition of spending New Years up in Door County.
A project inspired by one of Papa’s favorites summertime Door County traditions, stargazing during the August meteor shower. Every summer, we do our best to time our summer DC trip for mid-August, to be up north for the Perseids meteor shower.
IRL photos of one of our summer traditions for our Door County visits. Grabbing deli sandwiches at the Main Street Market in Egg Harbor and having a picnic over at the marina across the street.
Our Lego IRL photo of Papa and Christian enjoying their ice cream from Not Licked Yet, right along the water in Fish Creek.
A quick little Lego family photo we snapped in Ephraim last year near the very recognizable Anderson Barn.
Another lavender inspired design for Mama that has strong Door County ties. It’s hard to resist the lavender signs and shops when you’re visiting Door County, if you know where to look.
